Yesterday when i read through an article about an earth exhibition. People from all over the world are designing some environmental friendly bags with meaningful pictures/words on it. The purpose is to create more awareness on recycling and reuse.
There's one bag design that caught my eyes. The bag has a quote sounds 'I believe in butterfly effect'. There's a short explanation besides the bag design picture. Why butterfly effect ? Just imagine there's a beautiful garden with lots of beautiful flowers in it. Since the garden have lots of flowers, no surprise there will be butterflies in it. When a butterfly is flipping its wings, the rest of the butterflies in the garden will do the same too. Surprise isn't it ? It can be at first only 2 buterflies following the same flipping actoin, then 4 become 8, 8 become 16, 16 become 32, 32 become 64. That's how the doubling effect being transmitted to the rest of the butterflies. That's how they fly together.
No wonder these few days, my eldest son keep asking me some mathematical questions like what is the answer for 2 + 2, 4 + 4, 8 + 8, 16 + 16, 32 + 32, 64 + 64. I guess he is giving me some hints on something. The butterfly effect works in this formula well. Though the mathematic sounds simple and easy but the effect is strong & meaningful.
If you want to do something or change something, change it from yourself. Then let the change carry on to others, by starting with smaller step from people surrounding you. Starts from 1 is good enough, then 2 then 4 then 8. After some times, change will take place by itself even to the whole family, society, country and even to the whole world. But the change here means good one, not too radical one.
Don't look down on this simple equation. It works well in this nature world and will work for us too since we are one of the creation from nature too !
